USA, plane collides with power lines

Thousands of people were left without power in the US state of Maryland after a small plane crashed into high-voltage power lines.

Sources close to the US police say that the small plane was left hanging at a height of 30 meters after crashing into a high voltage line in the city of Gaithersburg.

Two people who were trapped inside the small plane were seriously injured.

“Both patients were transported from the scene to local trauma centers with serious injuries,” Fire Chief Scott Goldstein said at a news conference.

Crews are still working to remove the plane from power lines.

According to US authorities, the plane was flying from Westchester and was going to land at Montgomery Airpark.
