Snow up to 45 centimeters in Germany, a plane froze at Munich airport

There has been heavy snowfall in Germany, forcing the closure of Munich Airport, which is not expected to reopen until Sunday.

In addition, the snowfall has also affected the railway lines of the country.

The images published on social networks show the complete chaos caused until it seems that 45 centimeters of snow had fallen there.

Meanwhile, a video shot at the Munich airport showed how the snow had covered the runway; even a plane reportedly froze in place.

Heavy snowfall has also occurred in parts of Switzerland and Austria.

In Switzerland, 22 flights and 21 landings were canceled at Zurich airport. Innsbruck Airport, in western Austria, also said heavy snowfall led to “significant restrictions” on flight operations.
