Twitter is changing the videos posted on the social network by adding subtitles. This innovation will be for iOS and Android systems as well as on the network. Subtitles will be automatic and in “most” languages of the world.
But, there is only one stick in all this: the subtitles will appear in the new uploaded videos, not the previous ones. Older videos will still have no subtitles.
There is also no way to report inaccurate subtitles, a Twitter spokesperson said, although the latter say they are looking for ways to improve service for people with disabilities.
For the latter, Twitter is becoming more and more committed after updating voiceless subtitles in 2020. This update received numerous complaints as it was not suitable for all categories and it later came to light that the company did not have a team dedicated, which has changed.
